Banna Lane Festival. Griffith.

Phoracantha Semipunctata.

Before commencing this mural, I documented elements from a local spot along The Murrumbidgee River. I’ve always been intrigued by lines and natural patterns hidden under the bark and within the timber of the River Red Gums along the Bidgee.

Each line is depicted by the path of a grub later transforming into the Long Horned Borer Beatle. These lines are a strong memory from my youth in this area. Abstract and disorderly in direction yet orchestrated into a beautiful existence within the River Red Gum.
