NO SHOW
~ Non existent when expected.
~ Non Exhibition.
NO SHOW is an Open Studio invitation to Newcastle artist Brett Piva’s studio that shared experiments and processes using various mediums on base materials such as Glass, Paper and Canvas.
A response to a NO SHOW circumstance due to a large projects eleventh hour cancellation over the October long weekend in Newcastle, 2020.
Various works of all sizes, both accomplished and incomplete will be shared. Framed, unframed or unfinished. An insight into studio practices alongside a showcase of completed works.
Hand made brushes, tools and implements used to create works will be on display and discussed during each session. New abstract and contemporary pieces will be available for sale. An open dialogue for commissioned pieces and pre-orders on displayed incomplete works are welcome.
NO SHOW. A response to difficult experiences in difficult times.
